she corrects details like the knee posture and the sickle foot, as well as upper body posture and the direction in which the student looks. And all the time praising Tamasine's progress, so I see some good teaching there, but some things appear real odd.

I'm surprised at some things Olive says, like straight knee at the beginning. I think she overdoes that. Also, her arms appear to be pretty stiff, instead of hanging loosely at the side. She is also rather stiff in her ankle and foot joints. When she shows the Light Reel Lead Around, she shows two different steps even though she pretends like she's just demonstrating more leaping. But other than that, she appears to be a good teacher, first teaching the step without jump, then with jump and then

That's an interesting 3rd step. It goes Heel(right), heel (left),back 23 (left foot), leap 23 (Right foot), hop (right foot) 234567, leap 23(right), leap 23 (left)...than repeat with the left foot. Right? i have never saw a step with such a different mix to it, for a basic dance.

And he just won the Sr. Belt this past weekend. He is amazing!

I think instead of "camel toe", you mean 'pigeon toe.' Those are two extremely different expressions!!! yikes :-)

Obviously you don't know who Jonathon is...he is the 2008 winner of the North American Feis Commission's Senior Belt, and he placed 2nd in Senior Men at the 2008 North American Irish Dance Championships, and 6th at the Worlds. His accomplishments speak for themselves. This video was purely a "Fun Feet" video contest and nothing more.

terrific! except...this is a treble jig...not a hard reel like the summary says... :-p

It's the 1 part of a 1-2-3......the leg that goes to the front.....comes up with a knee, WHICH CAUSES your back foot of that same leg.....not to be able to fully kick your bum.....so when the leg goes to the front....keep that knee as parallel as possible to the standing knee and you can feel your foot in the back being able to kick your bum more fully AND higer

try not to "knee" your threes.....instead keep your knees as much back as possible.......
